The die photos look great, there shouldn't be any problems extracting a netlist from it. Also, is this sample one of the ones plgDavid was going to send?
About the game, it's referred to as "roadrace". It's basically a vertical racing game (more of a dodge game) like the Midway Wheels arcade game. Someone captured some footage here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdsBPohT6t8)
I came across pics of the top metal layer on my hard drive, so I located the die. I had removed the top metal layer, but hadn't taken more pics. I bought it at the same time I bought the 8600, 8605 and 8606. I've also bought two AY-3-8607s, but damaged both of them :(
